Shalom chaverim! Hello friends!
We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. As our Reopening Task Force continues their efforts to ensure a safe opening of our building and in-person activities, we wanted to provide you with an update on our plans for the next few weeks.
The Safety & Security subcommittee is actively working on a plan to establish metrics and processes for the building to reopen in accordance with the new health and sanitation protocols established during the pandemic.
The Ritual subcommittee is looking at each of our areas of worship in accordance with the Safety & Security team's recommendations. Weekly Shabbat services will continue online through Zoom as the Safety & Security team works through their plans. High Holiday services planning is underway and there will be changes from our usual in-person worship. Because conditions are dynamic, we are keeping close communication with B'nai Mitzvah families to assess options that will be available.
The Religious School and Youth Activities will be starting the 2020-2021 school year virtually. Our families affiliated with the Religious School received that information earlier this week. Link
Our RUJEC preschool is working through the numerous guidelines to safely reopen. The Training Wheels program will begin virtually in the fall. Adult Ed is continuing with virtual classes.
The Reopening Task Force meets regularly and is following many resources to assist in continuing to engage our community while remaining physically distant. If you have questions or comments, or suggestions on safe community activities such as Shabbat in the Park-ing Lot, please contact Laurie Mangold or me.
L'hitraot, til we meet again,
Heidi
